Student chose this site because...

On March 17, the teachers in the K-12 Archiving Pilot, ARCHIVE-IT and Library of Congress held their second organizational online meeting. We decided that the sentences students are writing explaining their website choices will be added to the description field in the seed level metadata. We agreed on a standard preface which would be: "Student chose this site because:"

Listed are several examples (out of many) of Miramonte student selected sites and descriptions that were categorized by the students as either Education-Information, Consumption or Recreation.

"Journalist Kevin Sites informs people worldwide of the conflicts currently taking place in regions such as Africa and the Middle East. Many teenagers are interested in global conflicts and use this as an accurate news source for controversial topics that television and radio often do not cover."
